Please! How to Survive Caring for Aging Parents
I am writing to express my support of John Reigle's book
'When Death Occurs' and his workshop. Mr. Reigle was a presenter at a
mini conference we had at our facility; 'Seniors: Safe, Sound &
Secure'. He gave a wonderful presentation and answered the many questions
our seniors had for him.
The overview of all the end of life options were well defined.
Mr. Reigle expressed the importance of saying goodbye to our loved ones and
that a funeral is for the living. Mr. Reigle pointed out scams (over charges)
he had come across and what he, as a funeral director, knew are things that
should not be included in a funeral contract.
Being in a rural area with only one funeral home, Mr. Reigle did
not criticize the local funeral home (this was well received by the senior
citizens). The senior citizens, as well as myself, were very pleased with the
presentation and are looking forward to seeing him again.
I would highly recommend Mr. Reigle to speak to as many
organizations as possible. His book is a wonderful resource for future
planning.

On behalf of Catholic Human Services, Area Agency on Aging,
Region 9, and The Diocese of Gaylord, we want to thank you for providing
information and displaying materials for seniors and their caregivers at the
Gaylord Senior Expo on 8-21-2004.
Your valuable information helped participants become more
knowledgeable about these topics and local resources that are very important to
them at this time in their lives. We appreciate your supporting the expo not
only by answering seniors' questions and discussing topics with them but
also for the time involved in preparing, setting up and taking down your
displays.
Your participation enriched their lives and contributed to the
success of the expo. Again, thank you for helping us in this endeavor. We are
looking forward to working together in the future.
