Accessible, Unbiased Information
Seniors and their families face decisions that are difficult but mandatory. Available information is often biased and offered by sources with an ulterior motive.

Michigan's aging population needs a source of easily accessible, unbiased information pertaining to issues that are relevant to them. We offer workshops in conjunction with local senior groups that address a number of important topics, including long-term care insurance, funeral and memorial planning, reverse mortgages, telephone fraud, estate planning and much more.

Death Care Specialist - A Secretive Industry
A 2004 survey showed that 91% of adults age 55+ know little about the funeral home industry, consult only local funeral homes or cemeteries for information, and are unaware of the impartial sources on the consumer info.

The State of Michigan is slow to react, and does little to clean up the industry, due to the powerful lobby of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association and the Michigan Cemetery Association.

The Issues
Approximately 2,220,673 people in the state of Michigan are 55 or older. Many seniors lack the financial ability to pay for attending educational workshops, and yet they are the ones that are preyed upon the most because of their lack of knowledge.

The Bottom Line
Consumers must be aware of their options before they are faced with making ultimate, end of life decisions.
